H-plane sectoral dielectric horn antenna

Abstract

The radiation mechanism of the dielectric horn antenna is not easy to understand owing to the complex boundary value nature of the problem. Experimentally however Kiely [1] and Jha et al. [2] have shown that the dielectric horn antennas are relatively more directive than their metal counterparts. Therefore, an attempt is made to investigate the effects of certain antenna parameters on radiation of the H -plane sectoral dielectric horn.
