Poly (vinylidene) fluoride used for piezoelectric coin sensors

Abstract

The usefulness of the piezoelectric polymer, poly(vinylidene) fluoride, for sensors in coin operated devices is demonstrated. Features such as high sensitivity, low cost, and ease of handling and processing make this material extremely attractive for these applications.
