Modeling of broad-band traveling-wave optical-intensity modulators

Abstract

In this paper, an accurate simulation tool for the electrical and optical response of broad-band traveling-wave optical intensity modulators is presented, which takes into account multisectional electrical transmission lines. This model is applied to analyze a high-speed fully packaged LiNbO/sub 3/ Mach-Zehnder interferometer.
