BiOI–TiO2 Nanocomposites for Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting

Abstract

A photocurrent density of 2.97 mA cm−2 for oxygen evolution based on BiOI/TiO2 nanocomposites is achieved. The significant enhancement of performance is ascribed to the enhanced incident photon to current conversion efficiency in the visible region and the reduced charge recombination.
