Theoretical Investigation on Refractive Index Sensor Based on Bragg Grating in Micro/Nanofiber

Abstract

A refractometric sensor based on fiber Bragg grating(FBG) in micro/nano-fiber(MNF) is proposed. The performance of sensing the variation of ambient refractive index is simulated, and the simulation results demonstrate that the FBG in MNF can achieve a sensitivity as high as 993nm/RIU.
