A wideband four-element antenna system for mobile terminals

Abstract

In this paper, a wideband antenna system with four printed monopoles is presented. The antenna system contains two symmetric pairs of antennas, and each pair comprises two back-to-back monopoles with symmetric configuration, and a transformative dual inverted-L-shaped ground branches. The measured results show that the proposed antenna system has a wide bandwidth of 1260 MHz (1660-2920 MHz), for the return loss of less than -10 dB and the mutual coupling of less than -10 dB.
