Preparing the nanostructured mesoporous titanium dioxide thin film for sensitized solar cell

Abstract

Nanostructured mesoporous titanium dioxide thin films were prepared from the nanoparticle colloidal paste made by sol-gel method and directly by the commercial product P-25. Thin film with strong adhesion ability on a conducting glass substrate and the high surface area in the thin film is the important target expected. The results show that a colloidal paste that can form a good adhesion thin film and possess the controllable particle size from 15 to 60 nm is obtained repeatedly. Meanwhile, a mixture of alcohol and water is a good dispersion solution for measuring the nanoparticle size distribution. The adherence of thin film prepared by the paste from alkoxide titanium is better than that prepared from titanium tetrachloride
