Ultrathin π‐Conjugated Polymer Films for Simple Fabrication of Large‐Area Molecular Junctions

Abstract

An ultra-thin layer of a polyphenilene vinylene polymer is used to stabilize mechanically juctions incorporating self assembled monolayers of organic molecules. The results indicate that the polymer film is trasparent to electrons respect to the incorporated molecules.
