Sistemas inteligentes de transporte y nuevas tecnologías en el control y administración del transporte

Abstract

A description of the Intelligent Transportation Systems ITS's as a control mechanism transit and transportation in general level is presented, involved in solving problems such as traffic congestion, accidents and pollution. This was performed by collecting information from different authors and research centers, and specialized publications and experienced companies in the implementation and/or manufacture of these systems. Examples of different control devices that are currently in use and is displayed as global trend of technological innovation in this area are presented. We conclude that the ITS's allow mobility is performed efficiently and takes place adequate control of the operation and management of transport and traffic, while the mobility needs of users are met efficiently, economical and safe.
