A Two-Dimension Simplified Subcarrier Allocation for Multiuser MIMO-OFDM Transmission

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a real-time subcarrier allocation algorithm based on simplification at both antenna dimension and frequency dimension in multiuser MIMO-OFDM downlink transmission. By knowing the channel characteristic of all users, our goal is to reduce computational complexity with the requirement of minimizing the overall transmit power. And the simplification can make the transmission more suitable for real-time environment without obvious performance loss. Simulation results show that our proposed algorithm outperforms none antenna-dimension employed multiuser MIMO-OFDM transmission with significant computational complexity reduction.
