Neighbor coordinated positioning based power control for cognitive radio ad hoc networks

Abstract

Recently, cognitive radio network with the transmission power control in the underlay mode which can enhance the spectrum reutilization is a gathering more and more attentions. In this paper, we propose a positioning based neighbor coordinated interference avoidance power control scheme with collision free reporting protocol that can reduce the non-determinacy of the interference estimation in cognitive radio ad hoc networks. It provides the detection and protection for incumbent systems around the CR communication pair. Simulation results show that the proposed power control scheme can greatly reduce interference to the neighbor incumbent devices.
