Digitally Synthesized Beat Frequency Multiplexing for Sub-millisecond Fluorescence Microscopy

Abstract

Radiofrequency beating of digitally synthesized optical fields extends the time resolution of fluorescence microscopy and enhances the throughput of flow imaging. We demonstrate fluorescence microscopy with pixel readout rates 30× faster than a modern EMCCD.
