Recent development in ocean data telemetry
Abstract
Techniques for telemetering oceanographic data from the deep ocean to the laboratory in near real time are described. Three general solutions to the problem of how to transfer information between subsurface instruments and surface buoys equipped with satellite transmitters are discussed. Hardwired mooring techniques are discussed.< >
