Piezoelectric transformer AC-DC converter over a worldwide range of input voltage by combined PWM and PFM control

Abstract

An AC-DC power converter using a piezoelectric transformer is presented. A new control method of the combination of PVM and PFM control is used. The AC-DC power converter for worldwide range of input voltage implemented on a printed circuit board is experimentally evaluated and as a result, a good controllability is successfully achieved.
