Internet en la vida cotidiana de los jóvenes

Abstract

ON THE BASIS OF A QUALITATIVE STUDY ON THE INCORPORATION OF THE INTERNET INTO EVERYDAY LIFE, THIS ARTICLE PROPOSES A REFLECTION ON THE PROCESSES OF SOCIALIZATION, THE PRACTICES OF CONSUMPTION AND THE FORMS OF SOCIABILITY OF YOUNG PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET. ON THE ONE HAND, THE AUTHOR MAINTAINS THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND THE SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY OF LINKS ON THE INTERNET IF THEIR STUDY IS ISOLATED FROM SIGNIFICANT RELATIONS IN EVERYDAY LIFE AND THE CONSUMPTION OF OTHER MEDIA. ON THE OTHER, SHE ARGUES THAT ONLINE SOCIABILITY DOES NOT CONSTITUTE THE DISPLACEMENT OF OTHER FORMS OF BELONGING, AND INSTEAD ALLOWS THE EXPANSION OF THE TRADITIONAL CIRCUITS OF ENCOUNTERS AND SOCIALIZATION.
