Abstract

Abstract Hydrophobic FePt@Au core‐shell nanoparticles were chemically synthesized and with controllable surface‐function properties. The enhanced optical property is due to the contribution of Au shell. The surface modification of FePt@Au nanoiparticles by using 11‐mercaptoundecanoic acid (MUA) was hydrophilic through ligand exchange and with good biocompatibility for future multi‐functional applications.
