Abstract

Two new coordination polymers, namely, [Cd(BIMB)2(NO3)2]n(1) and [Cd2(PDC)2(BIMB)]n(2), have been synthesized [H2PDC = 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid, BIMB = 1,4-bis (1-imidazol-l)-2,5-dimethyl benzene]by hydrothermal method and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, and element analysis. Complex 1 is two-dimensional layer structure and complex 2 shows a three-dimensional structure.
