Abstract

Abstract The electrochromic properties of VO x C y films deposited onto 40 Ω · square −1 flexible PET/ITO substrates by low‐temperature plasma polymerization were investigated. The organic precursor was carried by Ar/O 2 and polymerized by r.f. power at room temperature; the plasma‐polymerized films were proven to provide extraordinary electrochromic properties of light modulation with up to 35.8% of transmittance variance. Cyclic voltammetry and cyclic potentiostatic switching measurements demonstrated that only low driving voltages from −0.6 to 1 V were needed to provide reversible Li + ion insertion and extraction. magnified image
