OFDM symbol detection based on frequency-domain oversampling

Abstract

In this paper, OFDM symbol detection is tackled from a new perspective, frequency-domain oversampling (FDO) followed by advanced signal processing techniques. Linear zero-forcing (ZF), nonlinear Vertical-Bell Laboratories-Layered-Space-Time (VBLAST), and sphere decoding (SD) algorithms are investigated. Numerical results show the advantage of FDO based detection algorithms over their conventional counterparts in error performance.
