Abstract

The usefulness of tensor polarized deuteron capture reaction studies arises from the fact that the observables of these reactions are particularly sensitive to various tensor force effects in nuclei. Since these effects are more transparent in the very light nuclei, our studies have concentrated on these systems. I will report on results which utilize tensor polarized deuterons to study 3He, 4He, 5Li, 5He, and 8Be.
