A modified topology of isolated interleaved flyback boost converter with Winding-Cross-Coupled inductors

Abstract

This paper presents a new topology of Isolated Interleaved Boost Converter with Winding-Cross-Coupled Inductors (WCCIs) that reduces the switching losses. Primitive structure has active clamp circuit that is used to obtain zero voltage switching (ZVS) operation for two main switches during the whole switching transition but the clamp switch itself has high switching losses. In this paper, the clamp switch is eliminated and we provide soft switching for two main switches by making series resonant circuit. This resonant circuit is made by the inherent leakage inductance of transformer and capacitor that is placed between two main swishes. The proposed converter is simulated with Pspice 15.7; furthermore the results are compared with the primitive structure.
