Abstract

The electrocatalytic properties of platinum particles incorporated into polyaniline films are investigated for oxidation of methanol in sulfuric acid electrolyte. It is found that the oxidation of methanol depends greatly on the nature of both polyaniline matrix and platinum particles which can be optimized by the electrochemical formation conditions, such as cycle numbers, deposition mode, and rotation rate.
