Magnetic Properties of Carbon Stabilized Core-Shell Ni-NiO Nanoparticles

Abstract

Carbon stabilized Ni‐NiO core‐shell structure nanoparticles have been synthesized by a two step polyol‐chemical method, under ambient conditions and postannealing at 400 °C in air. Compared to Ni‐NiO produced via other techniques, Ni‐NiO/carbon chains displayed higher stability and magnetization, because of the presence of a carbon protective layer.
