Selenium in nitrogen-doped microporous carbon spheres for high-performance lithium–selenium batteries

Abstract

An integrated composite with confined selenium within nitrogen-doped microporous carbon spheres as a new cathode material can realise the direct transformation between Se atoms and Li2Se in the cycling process, resulting in unprecedented electrochemical performance based on reversible capacity, cycling stability, and rate capability.
