Black Holes and Superconformal Mechanics

Abstract

The dynamics of a superparticle near the horizon of an extreme Reissner-Nordström black hole is shown to be governed by a superconformal action that reduces to the superconformal mechanics of Akulov and Pashnev, and Fubini and Rabinovici in the limit of large black hole mass.
