Abstract

The contribution to the bulk viscosity of fluid mixtures arising from the deviation of the two-particle distribution function from its local-equilibrium form can be significant in comparison with that arising from the local-equilibrium part of this function when analyzed in the framework of Enskog theory. Quantitative results are given for hard spheres.
