Fabrication and Biofunctionalization of Carbon-Encapsulated Au Nanoparticles

Abstract

Au-core C-shell nanoparticles are fabricated using a simple CVD process. As a result, an addressable quantity of materials is produced that is able to be biofunctionalized using standard techniques. These new materials are then capable of being used for bioanalytical protein detection.
