Mechanism of H2-promoted oxidation of nitrogen monoxide over Ag/Al2O3

Abstract

H2-promoted oxidation of NO to NO2 over Ag/Al2O3 proceeds via two-step mechanism: (1) formation of surface nitrate species, and (2) reduction of this species with NO. Hydrogen plays a crucial role at the first step.
