Anomalous heat capacity of superconducting vanadium

Abstract

Introduction of H or D into V produces a specific-heat anomaly in the superconducting state near 1 K which can dominate the normal lattice contribution. No evidence is found in the heat capacity for a second, very small superconducting energy gap.
