Abstract

The crystal and molecular structures of meso-1,2-dinitro-1,2-diphenylethane, C 14 H 12 N 2 O 4 , (1), (±)-1,2-dinitro-1,2-diphenylethane, C 14 H 12 N 2 O 4 , (2), meso-2,3-dinitro-2,3-diphenylbutane, C 16 H 16 N 2 O 4 , (3), and (±)-2,3-dinitro-2,3-diphenylbutane, C 16 H 16 N 2 O 4 , (4), have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods
