Abstract

Thiolalkylated polyethylene glycol (PEG) ligands have been designed and synthesised for use in the manufacturing of stable water soluble gold MPCs. In addition to ongoing work on the synthesis of size and shape selective aq. (aqueous) gold nanoparticles, the effect of avidin gold nanoparticle (AGNP) ratio on biotinylated peptide gold nanoparticles (BPGNP) has also been investigated.
