Implementation and Analysis of Desktop Virtualization using Private Cloud Computing

Abstract

학교나 학원의 컴퓨터 교육 환경은 개인별로 한 대의 PC(Personal Computer)를 할당 받아 사용하고 있는데, 사용자가 늘어남에 따라 더 많은 PC의 확충이 필요하다. PC가 늘어남에 따라 관리의 어려움, 소프트웨어 및 하드웨어적 비용 증가, 공간의 확충, 전력 소모 증가 등 다수의 문제점이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 등장하게 된 기술이 멀티 컴퓨터, 데스크탑 가상화, DaaS(Desktop as a Service) 등이 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 문제점을 획기적으로 개선할 수 있는 사설 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 이용한 데스크탑 가상화를 위한 시스템의 요구 사항을 분석하였다. Desktop is offered to each individual in Educational environments of school or academy, as the users are increasing, the more Desktop is required for each person. Huge Desktop accession resulted in many problems including difficulty of management, Software and Hardware cost rising, cramped places, power consumption increasing and etc. To solve those problems, we focus into uprising technology solution, such as Multi Computer, Desktop Virtualization, and DaaS(Desktop as a Service). In this paper, existing problems that can dramatically improve the private cloud computing for desktop virtualization with the requirements of the system were analyzed.
