Abstract

We demonstrate a novel technique of fabricating organic light-emitting devices. Each device consists of 1480 micro-pixels, with a pixel dimension of 45×45 µm 2 . The pixels were obtained by using a single-step UV patternable sol–gel hybrid glass thin film. Due to higher fields, micro-pixels based devices show forward light output at lower voltage than conventional dvices. More than 1% in external quantum efficiency and green light exceeding 27,000 cd/m 2 are demonstrated.
