Magnetic anisotropy in electrodeposited single crystal films of cobalt

Abstract

Thin single crystal films of face-centred cubic β-Co and hexagonal close-packed α-Co have been prepared at room temperature by electrodeposition on to Cu single crystal substrates, and their magnetic anisotropy examined by torque magnetometry.
