Integrated Waveguide Mach-Zehnder Isolator Using the Transverse Magneto-Optical Phase-Shift

Abstract

An integrated Mach-Zehnder isolator and a low-temperature deposited thin-film magnet on GGG with 130 Oe coercivity are demonstrated. The device has a 19dB extinction ratio and 2dB excess loss at λ= 1.54µm.
