Abstract

1,1-Dimethylpropargyl alc. was treated with RX (R = 2-thienyl 2-pyridyl, O2NC6H4; X = halo), R1X1 (R1 = Ph, 2-benzothienyl, 2-thienyl; X1 = halo), (Ph3P)4Pd, CuI, and PhCH2N+Et3 Cl- to yield RC≡CR1.
