Abstract

Polyphenylene sulfide-intercalated layered manganese oxide (PPS-MnO 2 ) nanocomposite is synthesized via the delamination/reassembling process. SEM images and XRD analysis indicate that the surface of the nanocomposite material is layered and the basal spacing of PPS-MnO 2 was 1.69 nm. The maximum specific capacitance as obtained from cyclic voltammetry was 524.0 F•g −1 . The specific capacitance decreases by 6% of the initial value over 1000 cycles at a high current density of 2mA•cm -2 .
