Respiration Monitoring Sensor Based on Plastic Optical Fiber

Abstract

The concept of sensitively monitoring respiration by using a double-fiber optic sensor is presented. It is based on the measurement of light transmission through a bent fiber that has disturbances in the form of cavities.
