A.c. conductivity in binary V2O5-P2O5 glasses

Abstract

Abstract The a.c. conductivity of binary V2O5-P2O5 glasses containing 40, 50, 60 and 70mol% V2O5 has been measured at temperatures between 100 and 423 K, and for frequencies up to 100 MHz. The results are interpreted in terms of Long's polaron hopping model. The polaron parameters calculated from the above model appear reasonable and are in agreement with values obtained by other means.
