Active resonant Raman scattering spectroscopy

Abstract

A theoretical and experimental investigation was made of a new modification of active Raman spectroscopy in which one of the pump waves participating in the coherent excitation of normal molecular vibration lies within an electronic absorption band of the medium being investigated. A considerable deformation of the active spectra of weak Raman lines was observed for transparent organic liquids containing resonant admixtures.
