Optical multicarrier source for orthogonal time/frequency division multiplexing

Abstract

We investigate an electro-optically generated optical multicarrier source for optical orthogonal time/frequency domain multiplexing (OTFDM), aiming for ultrafast and high-spectral-efficient transmission. Impact of spectral ripple of the multicarrier to 160-Gb/s OTFDM-QPSK signal is also investigated.
