Effective CAC Scheme in IEEE 802.11e Wireless LANs

Abstract

An effective call admission control (CAC) scheme is proposed to improve the performance of IEEE 802.11e wireless local area networks (LANs), which adaptively performances the decision of accepting or rejecting request of new traffic. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme significantly improves quality of service (QoS) in terms of throughput and delay metrics.
