Phonon Spectrum of Caesium Bromide

J. D. DheerB. Sharan

Year: 1965 Journal:   physica status solidi (b) Vol: 9 (3)Pages: 701-708   Publisher: Wiley

Abstract

Abstract Sharan and Tiwari's work has been extended to the evaluation of the phonon spectrum of caesium bromide. Heat capacity and θ D vs . T curves show the usual behaviour at low temperature. The present extrapolated value of θ 0 is 149 °K and is in agreement with the theoretical calculations of Marshall.
