Oscillatory magnetic interlayer exchange coupling in Fe–N/TiN multilayers

Abstract

The discovery of oscillatory interlayer exchange coupling in a new type of ceramic superlattice system Fe–N/TiN, is reported. The magnitude of the exchange coupling was found to oscillate with the thickness of the TiN spacer layer and Fe–N ferromagnetic layer with periods about 0.8 and 0.6 nm, respectively.
