Determination of a Morphological Phase Diagram of Titania/Titanate Nanostructures from Alkaline Hydrothermal Treatment of Degussa P25

Abstract

A morphological phase diagram of nanostructure morphology produced from the alkaline hydrothermal treatment of Degussa P25 titania has been created. The compiled results (XRD, Raman, TEM) indicate that certain hydrothermal parameters must be met for nanotube formation and that under high temperature and high caustic concentration, nanoribbons are observed to form.
