Abstract

In the last few decades biologically inspired communications has caught the attention of a large number of computer scientists and engineers as a field with the potential to have a pervasive influence on current and future technology. Given that molecular biology and neuroscience are key research topics in this century, there is a growth of interest in bio-inspired communications, simultaneously showing a mixture of optimism and skepticism.
