The material properties, including piezoelectric, dielectric, and elastic properties of cement‐based piezoelectric ceramic composites are measured in our study. Different kinds of diphase composite models are proposed to explain the material properties. The modified cube model with chemical reaction is adopted because of the chemical reaction existing between lead zirconate titanate (PZT) ceramic particles and cement grains. The experimental results match the model very well. Moreover, the influence of volume fraction of PZT ceramic on the material properties of composites is also discussed in detail. The results show that the material properties of cement‐based piezoelectric ceramic composite can be tuned to a compatible value to match the requirement of structure materials, i.e. concrete.
