Abstract

A dual-band patch antenna with two U-shaped slots is experimentally demonstrated. By varying the length of the two arms of each U-shaped slot, the frequency ratio tunable in the range of ∼1.43–1.6 and a considerable antenna size reduction for fixed dual-frequency operation are shown. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
