Catalytic Wet Air Oxidation of PH3 over CuO-CeO2 Catalysts

Abstract

The influences of CeO 2 and La 2 O 3 on catalytic wet air oxidation of PH 3 was investigated. CuO catalysts, CuO-CeO 2 catalysts and CuO-La 2 O 3 catalysts were prepared using the co-precipitation method. Results revealed that the purification efficiency of PH 3 removed by the combination of Ce and Cu oxide was good. The catalystic activity of CuO-CeO 2 catalysts influenced by the ratio of Cu to Ce was studied, the optimalizing ratio was 10:1. Main influence factors for reaction temperature, O 2 content and gas flow rate were also studied, the purification efficiency of PH 3 was enhanced with reaction temperature increasing, slow gas flow was good for removing PH 3 . O 2 2% were best for the reaction. The results indicated that good conditions of the reaction were 80°C, gas flow rate of 200 mL/min, O 2 content of 3%.
