Kinetics of PpIX fluorescence following ALA-PDT

Abstract

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) using 5-aminolevulinic-acid (ALA) induced protoporphyrin IX (PpIX) as a photosensitizer has been accepted as a treatment for a variety of malignant and non-malignant conditions particularly in dermatology.
